Hey there, lovely!
Let me start with the truth: building a business while raising four kids isn’t for the faint of heart. There were days I had a baby on my hip, a toddler climbing the couch, a lunch burning on the stove, and a dream growing quietly inside me. That dream? To build a business that gave me freedom, impact, and the kind of income that could change my family’s life.
And guess what? I did it.
Today, I run a 6-figure business doing what I love—helping other women create freedom through digital entrepreneurship. But it didn’t start fancy. It started with late nights, small steps, and a belief that I was made for more.
Here’s how I made it happen—and how you can too.
Step 1: I Got Clear on My “Why”
My “why” was my family.
I wanted time freedom, location freedom, and financial peace. I didn’t want to miss the milestones. I wanted to build something that worked for my life, not ran my life.
When you’re clear on your why, you show up differently. You find time you didn’t know you had. You make moves even when it’s uncomfortable. And that was me—determined to show my kids what was possible.
Step 2: I Chose a Business Model That Fit My Life
I knew I needed something flexible, scalable, and low-overhead. That’s when I discovered the power of digital products and online education.
Instead of physical inventory or trading hours for dollars, I started creating:
-
Editable Canva templates
-
Digital invitations for events
-
Mini courses and ebooks
-
A masterclass series
-
And eventually, my own brand: Serendipity Success
I sold these through platforms like Etsy and my own website. With each launch, I got better. And with each sale, my confidence grew.
Step 3: I Learned (and Then I Leveraged)
I didn’t know it all—but I wasn’t afraid to learn.
I invested in affordable courses, listened to podcasts while folding laundry, and took notes during naptime. I learned about:
-
Passive income
-
Master resell rights
-
Marketing automation
-
Sales funnels
-
Pinterest and social media strategy
And the best part? Once I learned it, I shared it. Teaching others became part of my business, too. That’s where the magic really happened.
Step 4: I Showed Up Consistently—Even When It Was Messy
Real talk: Some days I showed up with a messy bun and zero chill. But I showed up.
I posted content when only 3 people liked it.
I launched offers that flopped.
I had tech fails, awkward videos, and mom guilt.
But I kept going.
Because growth isn’t about perfection—it’s about consistency. I made a plan that fit my season of life and stuck to it.
Step 5: I Built a Community, Not Just a Business
I didn’t just want customers—I wanted connection.
So I built a brand that was about more than sales. I created free value. I celebrated wins with other women. I answered DMs, shared behind-the-scenes, and stayed real.
That authenticity built trust. And that trust built a loyal audience who were ready to buy when I launched something new.
Step 6: I Treated It Like a Business from Day One
Even before the first $1K, I acted like a CEO.
-
I tracked my income and goals
-
I reinvested in tools and systems
-
I automated where I could (hello, email funnels!)
-
I set work hours—even if it was just during nap time or after bedtime
When you treat your business like it matters, it will.
Final Thoughts: If I Can Do It, So Can You
You don’t need a fancy office, a huge following, or a perfect plan. You need a clear vision, consistent action, and a little courage to start messy.
I’m living proof that you can raise babies and build dreams. That you can go from overwhelmed to empowered. From unsure to unstoppable.
And if you need help starting? That’s what I’m here for.
At Serendipity Success, I offer tools, templates, and training to help women just like you launch, grow, and scale their dream business—without burning out.
You’re not too late. You’re right on time.
